📋 Description
• Follow up on unpaid or rejected insurance claims • Respond to inquiries from insurance carriers • Pursue reimbursement from carriers • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) • Collect information and prepare appeals • Advise Team Lead on insurance denials • Follow HIPAA guidelines • Maintain understanding of payer hierarchy • Verify patient benefit eligibility/coverage • Complete required reports utilizing Microsoft Excel
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma • 1-2 years hands-on experience in a fast-paced medical billing environment • Previous experience in a healthcare setting • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 preferred • Strong communication skills • Attention to detail
