📋 Description

• The Litigation Attorney is responsible for handling creditor’s rights, real estate, and title curative litigated matters for the Firm. • Must attend mediations, trials, and hearings, and other duties as assigned. • Must be willing and able to travel on an as needed basis. • Must be able to work well with all members of the group. • Must be willing and able to write articles and make presentations to clients, trade associations, and ICLE. • Must be willing and able to participate in marketing initiatives. • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases. • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school • Minimum of two – four years of litigation/courtroom experience (creditor’s rights/foreclosure experience a plus) • Member in good standing of the state Bar of Georgia • Must be proficient in performing legal research and writing • Must be proficient in taking & defending depositions • Must be proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters • Proficiency with Westlaw • Must be well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in both state and federal court
