Description

• Thoroughly analyze customers’ and business problems to identify key pain points. • Quickly develop impactful and elegant solutions to identified problems. • Approach product development from a high-level perspective to connect missing dots and ensure cohesion. • Update acceptance criteria and define the logic underlying your work. • Take full cycle ownership of your work, from ideation and design to review, feedback in the final test build, and post-release evaluation. • Co-lead your team alongside Product Managers and Developers. • Actively provide feedback and mentor designers within your team. • Perform design reviews for your vertical. • Drive the vision for your product, ensuring your team is aligned on achieving a better future state. • Guide the team’s design execution to meet business goals. • Work holistically across multiple platforms, including the employee portal, employer portal, and admin dashboard for customer support. • Manage the design work for one or more product teams, depending on complexity. • Ensure the design quality within your vertical meets our Deel Design Standards. • Above all - Be part of the journey to redefine a way of working for people all round the world

Requirements

• Be passionate about design • Able to learn fast • Experienced on mentoring product designers (the ability to give constructive feedback to enable product designers to learn and progress) • Previously worked for minimum of 5-7 years experience as product designer in fast paced environment (ideally scale up/ start up) • Currently on working as Staff product designer (or equivalent title) and have a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience leading design in face paced environment (ideally scale up/ start up) • Have strong knowledge and practice in both UX and UI. • Have good knowledge of Payroll and fintech. • Experienced in design systems • Autonomous force multiplier for their team and designers around them • Know when to go deep on a task and when to execute • Experienced with being embedded into a development team with light touch from the product manager. We believe that the work comes from everyone, not just top down. • Be comfortable with being involved with the end to end development process. From ideation to design QA - you feed and unblock the team. • For this role, you will need to be in EMEA or LATAM time zones
