📋 Description

• Report to the VP, Accounting & Financial Reporting • Prepare and own Jupiter Power’s consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, members’ equity, cash flow, and footnotes • Own portfolio-wide financial statement templates and checklist standards • Identify and help implement process improvements across the financial statement close • Own inter-entity mapping, intercompany transactions, and equity across the portfolio • Own the framework and execution for specialty technical accounting areas, including ASC 606, ASC 842, HLBV, intangibles, and inventory • Research technical accounting issues and monitor GAAP developments • Independently review tax equity, offtake, debt, and similar agreements • Draft technical accounting memos with proposed accounting positions • Escalate final memo conclusions and novel or precedent-setting treatments to the VP for sign-off • Support annual audit management, including PBC coordination, follow-up, and timeline adherence • Escalate open or unresolved technical accounting inquiries to the VP • Perform other ad hoc duties as requested

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required • CPA required • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience • Industry background in project-based accounting (construction, oil & gas; renewables/energy infrastructure preferred) • Prior industry experience required; not straight from public accounting • Demonstrated ability to independently propose an accounting position on a complex issue • Proficiency in Sage Intacct required • Familiarity with Ramp, Expensify, and Corpay or similar platforms preferred • Strong organizational and analytical skills • Track record of successful process improvement • Ability to make sound decisions independently
