• Assess applicants and support requests, including content review, information verification, and reference checking • Coach applicants after initial submissions and help refine proposals for consideration under the Safety Net mechanism • Produce reports, updates, and reviews of relevant media ecosystems in Eurasia • Identify and engage with actors relevant to the Safety Net mandate • Assist in reviewing narrative reports submitted by Safety Net beneficiaries • Prepare progress reports, briefings, and other stakeholder inputs, particularly for donors • Support implementation of the Safety Net mechanism through event coordination • Commission external experts • Prepare contracts and other documentation • Work under the direct guidance of the Safety Net Project Manager and general supervision of the EED Executive Director
• Relevant professional media experience • Experience working with a grant-giving or media support organisation • Thorough knowledge of English and Russian • Ability to maintain full confidentiality and exercise discretion, tact, and confidentiality with diverse groups • Ability to develop strong working relationships internally and externally at all levels • High personal and professional culture • Ability to work in a multicultural environment • References demonstrating suitability for performing the duties • CV and motivation letter required • Contact information for two referees required
• Possibility of contract extension • Contract may be part-time depending on the selected consultant’s current situation • Competitive consultancy contract fee rate depending on level of experience
