📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Java backend applications and services • Contribute to the migration of services from Java 8 to Java 17 • Contribute to database modernization initiatives, including MySQL upgrades • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to architectural standards • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution design • Create and maintain technical documentation to support development efforts • Participate in Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives)

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing scalable Java backend applications • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 through Java 17 • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns • Strong knowledge of multithreading and concurrency • Strong experience with MySQL or other relational databases • Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP • Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms • Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex applications • Proficiency with Linux and shell scripting • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional Scrum teams • Upper-Intermediate+ English level • Desirable: • Experience with Groovy • Experience with Gradle • Experience with CI/CD pipelines • Experience with Java version migrations or database modernization initiatives
