• System Analysis: Dive into our current Laravel solution to understand existing modules, integrations, and dependencies to ensure a smooth transition. • Migration Execution: Assist senior leads in defining the migration strategy—identifying which components to bridge, replace, or move incrementally. • Feature Development: Build new, full-stack functionality using Next.js, including both polished UI/UX components and robust backend/API logic (via Next.js API routes). • Data & Logic Integration: Work with PostgreSQL data models and migrate business logic from PHP/Laravel over to the new TypeScript/Next.js environment. • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. You will also assist in optimizing CI/CD workflows for the new stack. • Collaborative Delivery: Partner with designers, QA, and other developers. You’ll participate in code reviews, document your decisions, and help maintain architectural standards. • User Continuity: Ensure that the migration happens with minimal disruption to our current user base, supporting the platform until Next.js becomes the primary driver.
• 2–4 Years of Professional Experience: A solid foundation in modern web development. • React & Next.js Expertise: Proven experience building applications with React; familiarity with Next.js server-side logic is a major plus. • Database Skills: Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational data modeling. • PHP/Laravel Awareness: While this is a Move-to-Next.js role, you must be comfortable reading and analyzing Laravel code to understand how to migrate it. • Communication: Great English communication skills are essential for coordinating across remote teams and time zones. • Reliability: Ability to work remotely while maintaining high visibility on progress and blockers.
• Time Zone: You must be available to coordinate and work within UK business hours. • Flexibility: Fully remote role with a focus on clear documentation and team synergy. • Growth: Exposure to high-level architectural decisions and a structured migration roadmap.
