📋 Description

• Build new integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs • Maintain existing integrations as vendor APIs and pricing models change • Reduce the marginal cost of building additional integrations • Use AI daily for codebase and API exploration, prototyping, code generation and review, debugging, testing and documentation • Own data quality, including duplication, gaps, race conditions, deduplication and negotiated-rate handling • Build checks and reconciliation to verify data accuracy • Design and build normalized models across vendor bills, including units, currencies, time granularity, taxonomies and cost categories • Own orchestration, scheduling and backfill mechanics for ingestion pipelines • Collaborate with product, support and engineering teams to identify and address data gaps • Propose and drive improvements without waiting for a detailed specification

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a data-heavy backend role, with production ownership of pipelines that other people depend on • Strong SQL • Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines with an orchestration framework • Dagster or Airflow is highly desired; equivalent experience with Prefect, dbt or a comparable tool is relevant if ready to work in Dagster/Airflow • Strong Python, or another language used fluently for data work • Experience with a cloud data warehouse or analytical store such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Redshift or similar • Experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including pagination, rate limits, partial failures, late-arriving and restated data, and inaccurate vendor documentation • Instinct for data correctness and experience reconciling totals and building assertions • AI-augmented working style; already use AI tools across the engineering workflow • Experience developing solutions in the cloud and/or using cloud services • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal • Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough and tenacious
