âą Delivers and achieves budgeted sales goals for the region âą Communicates monthly depletion targets and programming calendars with wholesalers âą Maximizes sales potential measured by budget and by percentage of wines sold in that region âą Sets goals, oversees activities, reviews performance, and provides direction for District Managers in the territory âą Increases market demand and acceptance with distributor through targeting and opening of new accounts, increasing sales to existing accounts, development of account bases, and working on top accounts in each market âą Stays alert to distributor trends in the market âą Stays active in the wine community through frequent and positive networking with industry peers and key wholesaler personnel âą Works with their direct manager to develop and implement specific strategies in each market âą Recommends and implements decisions based on results of analysis that enhance the equity of the brands âą Recommends and substantiates budgeting needs, sales tactics and strategies, appropriate size of account base, pricing, on/off mix, etc âą Creates and manages monthly regional operational and sales budget
âą BA in Business or related field âą Minimum 5 years of sales experience in wine industry âą Excellent communication skills, both written and oral âą Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills âą Advanced knowledge of wine industry pricing strategies and market dynamics âą Technology capable, especially Microsoft Office âą Ability to travel up to 50% of the time âą Must possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state car registration, insurance, and a clean driving record âą Must be at least 21 years of age.
