• Design, evaluate, and integrate electrical and/or mechanical systems for marine vessels • Ensure all mechanical and electrical designs comply with applicable marine regulations and standards • Conduct inspections and verifications to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and classification society requirements • Collaborate with naval architects, mechanical engineers, shipbuilders and third-party vendors • Prepare documentation for approval, certification, and audits
• Minimum four (4) years of experience within the maritime industry, providing mechanical/electrical design support • Bachelor of Science degree from ABET accredited curriculum • EIT or working or retrieving Certification Professional Engineer's license preferred • AutoCAD and MS Office Skills • Familiarity with Rhino is favorable • Ability to perform onsite ship inspections • Maintain membership in SNAME, ASME, ASCE, or IEEE • Must have intermediate knowledge of marine construction, ship repair, safety standards and regulatory frameworks, with proven capability in shipyard and marine operations.
