📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines from Microsoft SQL Server to AWS Redshift using AWS DMS and CDC. • Architect scalable and fault-tolerant data workflows that ensure high data quality, low latency, and consistent performance. • Develop frameworks and automation to streamline onboarding of new databases into the data platform. • Collaborate with data analysts, application developers, and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless data availability and integrity across systems. • Implement monitoring, alerting, and recovery mechanisms for large-scale data movement pipelines. • Optimize AWS DMS configurations, Redshift performance, and SQL Server CDC processes for throughput and efficiency. • Manage and tune database replication strategies to handle high data volume and concurrency. • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and healthcare standards. • Document platform architecture, pipeline workflows, configurations, and standard operating procedures. • Stay current with AWS data services and modern data platform best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development, preferably in large-scale, distributed data environments. • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including CDC, replication, performance tuning, and query optimization. • Proficiency with AWS data services such as DMS, Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, and CloudWatch. • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like DBT for large, high-volume data ingestion. • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation and data transformation. • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD practices. • Deep understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and data lineage concepts. • Excellent communication and documentation skills with a collaborative mindset. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
