• work on projects that impact students' lives • write multiple lesson scripts that address specific parts of the Strands C & D curriculum across Grades 6 to 9 • ensure lesson scripts cover a depth of knowledge and align with the set curriculum standards • commit to approximately 15 - 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule
• at least one year of experience teaching the new Ontario English/Language Curriculum for Grades 6 to 9 • two to five years of experience teaching either Strand C or D within Grades 6 to 9 • familiar with the Right to Read initiative (preferred, but not required) • familiar with Culturally Relevant and Responsive Pedagogy (CRRP) • familiar with cross-curricular and subject-specific literacy skills • strong writing skills and can translate curriculum expectations into clear, engaging learning resources • tech-savvy and enjoy working with technology • excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently • comfortable receiving feedback and revising your work to align with project requirements
