• Consolidation of purchasing volumes across the group to realize economies of scale • Development of group-wide supplier strategies and framework agreements to reduce costs and improve delivery reliability • Creating transparency around purchasing KPIs and processes as a basis for group control • Responsibility for selected strategic product categories (Category Management) • Identification and realization of bundling potential between sister companies • Negotiation of prices, terms and group-wide framework agreements with suppliers • Continuous monitoring of relevant supplier markets and derivation of recommended actions • Technical cost engineering: should-cost analyses and Design-to-Cost approaches to reduce costs • Establishment of common procurement standards, KPIs and reporting for the group • Close cooperation with operational purchasing managers as well as project management, engineering and production of the individual companies • Acting as a sparring partner for executive management and the purchasing leads of the companies on strategic procurement decisions
• Commercial or technical vocational training, preferably with further qualifications in purchasing, or a degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management or a comparable field • Several years of experience in technical or strategic purchasing, ideally in electrical engineering, switchgear, automation or plant engineering • Experience in building or managing cross-company or multi-site purchasing structures is an advantage • Technical understanding of the relevant categories (e.g., component function, importance of lead times for transformers) • Confident use of ERP systems, AI and Excel • Very good German language skills; English for supplier communication • Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on mentality • Negotiation skills and a good sense for people • Strong communication skills and persuasiveness in dialogue • Collaborative working style • Open, constructive handling of mistakes and setbacks • Independent, structured working style and high self-motivation
