📋 Description

• Support the Site head in identifying, screening, and selecting innovative biotechs in South Korea for the Gateway Labs programme • Conduct scientific and technical assessments of prospective companies for strategic fit • Maintain awareness of the South Korean biotech ecosystem and surface new opportunities • Support oversight of the site and associated portfolio companies • Provide continuity of support to resident biotech companies as their science and assets progress • Connect portfolio companies with relevant scientific and technical expertise within Lilly • Provide guidance on development approaches and identify inflection points for additional support • Maintain visibility into company development trajectories and inform portfolio recommendations • Serve as a day-to-day contact for Lilly partners, portfolio companies, and operational partners • Coordinate joint activities and resolve operational issues with partners • Coordinate Gateway Labs programming with Catalyze360 and other Lilly innovation functions • Track portfolio company progress and report updates to Gateway Labs leadership • Organize symposia and technical sessions • Build and maintain relationships with local biotechs, investors, life science stakeholders, venture funds, and academic partners in Korea • Represent Lilly Gateway Labs at industry events and forums in South Korea • Support delivery of the LGL site operations strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate degree (PhD, MD, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree in a life sciences discipline) • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience post-PhD/MD in the biotech industry, business development, alliance management, or innovation/venture-related roles within the pharmaceutical industry • Extensive knowledge and some direct experience of the drug development process, from pre-clinical through proof-of-concept, across therapeutic areas • Ability to translate between scientific/technical functions and support cross-functional drug development • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work effectively across cultures and with global, cross-functional teams • Fluency in Korean and English • Track record of appropriately handling sensitive and confidential information • Strong self-management and organizational skills • Ability to independently manage workload and adjust priorities as needed
