📋 Description

• Manages assigned underwriting team • Enforces Corporate and Region underwriting guidelines and procedures • Models smart and effective underwriting practices • Implements strategies to address challenges to profit • Answers questions, shares recommendations for complex situations • Coordinates with underwriters, marketing and branch management • Monitors progress of underwriters’ assigned agents • Seeks feedback from agents and takes action to improve their experience • Manages existing agency relationships and develops new ones • Oversees and monitors the workload and performance of assigned underwriting team • Monitors business decisions made by team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration • Six years of commercial lines underwriting experience • CPCU designation or other underwriting-related designation(s) preferred • Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred • Excellent knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis • Excellent problem-solving skills • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media • Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate team • Exceptional customer service skills
