📋 Description
• Lead the global strategy, vision, and roadmap for trade compliance transformation • Advise Trade Compliance, Manufacturing, and business leadership on modernization, operational excellence, and digital innovation • Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and risk assessments • Lead enterprise-wide programs establishing compliance frameworks, governance models, methodologies, and best practices • Monitor regulatory, technology, and industry trends and translate insights into scalable solutions • Design and implement standardized trade compliance processes across regions, functions, and operating environments • Drive adoption of automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and digital technologies • Establish standards for compliance systems, data governance, workflow optimization, and performance measurement • Lead technology transformation initiatives including trade compliance platform implementations, integrations, and enhancements • Resolve complex trade compliance challenges while balancing regulatory, operational, and business objectives • Identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks • Provide leadership during audits, regulatory reviews, compliance events, and business transformation activities • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, legal, IT, and operations leaders • Lead executive governance forums, steering committees, and cross-functional teams • Represent Emerson with external stakeholders, industry associations, regulatory agencies, and professional networks • Contribute thought leadership advancing trade compliance practices and organizational capability
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, equivalent professional experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience • Significant experience leading global trade compliance programs within multinational manufacturing, technology, or similarly complex organizations • Deep knowledge of international trade regulations, export controls, customs requirements, sanctions programs, and related regulatory frameworks • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives involving process redesign, systems implementation, automation, and organizational change • Experience leveraging digital technologies, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven methodologies to improve compliance performance • Strong business acumen with the ability to align regulatory requirements with operational and strategic objectives • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead enterprise initiatives in complex matrixed environments • Experience developing governance frameworks, operating models, and compliance strategies that support global business operations • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning skills • Ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate risk, and deliver sustainable solutions in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment • Preferred: Experience leading enterprise-wide compliance transformation programs across multiple regions and business units • Preferred: Advanced expertise in trade compliance technology platforms, automation solutions, and digital transformation initiatives • Preferred: Experience serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership • Preferred: Experience representing an organization with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and external stakeholders • Preferred: Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing or high-technology environments
