📋 Description

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly available and scalable infrastructure and services. • Develop and implement best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure system reliability and availability. • Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. • Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to proactively address scalability challenges and optimise resource utilisation. • Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure that applications are designed for reliability, scalability, and performance. • Drive continuous improvement through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies. • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents as needed, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on users.

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced in a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems. • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS. • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS). • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog and Sentry. • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols. • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Ruby, TypeScript, Python, Bash, or Go. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • You are passionate about learning and sharing your knowledge, and not afraid to challenge your peers, but also welcome being challenged. • English language abilities, both written and verbal - you’ll be working with people across the world, including from Australia. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience. • You have experience in mentoring team mates, or even leading an Engineering squad.
