📋 Description

• Automate provisioning and configuration management following infrastructure-as-code best practices • Create and maintain automated scripts to build, configure, deploy, and test applications across different environments • Maintain, support, and enhance the continuous integration environment • Reduce human errors and improve product-operation quality and security through automation • Increase delegation to AWS platforms and services to support the business mission • Partner with engineering teams to identify development challenges • Design tools, infrastructure, and processes to improve engineering productivity • Develop internal tools and applications as a force multiplier for engineering teams • Balance short-term tactical tasks with long-term projects on a small, nimble team • Evaluate application performance and improve efficiency • Determine system and application security requirements and develop security solutions • Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot production application issues • Collaborate with engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience in software engineering, systems administration, or DevOps • Linux experience (CentOS preferred) • Hands-on AWS IaaS administration using SDKs, CLI, and console • Knowledge of object-oriented programming • Proficiency in Python, Go, Ruby, or JavaScript • Experience with Ansible, Chef, Terraform, or CloudFormation • MySQL database administration • MS in Computer Engineering or equivalent • GitHub/repository link for a project is requested • Experience with AWS technologies including EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation • Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience developing automation using Ansible, Chef, and Terraform • Experience running Docker containers on Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio • Programming experience with Python, Go, Ruby, JavaScript, Shell/Bash, Java, HTML5, and CSS • Knowledge of web and application server management and configuration, including Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, JBoss, and NodeJS • Experience building, optimizing, hardening, and troubleshooting CentOS Linux operating systems • Understanding of relational databases, including MySQL • Understanding of secure, performant, reliable, and durable systems and architecture • Understanding of RESTful APIs • Experience with web frameworks such as Angular, React, or jQuery • Code repository best practices and Git/GitHub/Git Flow workflows • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins/Hudson, Harness, CircleCI, Maven, Ant, Sonar, and Artifactory • Security-minded approach to protecting systems and infrastructure • Familiarity with cloud-based DNS and load-balancing strategies • Experience monitoring production services using Datadog, Splunk, and AppDynamics • Dynamic, creative, solution-focused, and user-focused professional
