Endless Access is a nonprofit that empowers learners and educators through open-source games, hands-on game-making programs, and device-access initiatives. It runs scaffolded learning pathways (introductory projects, an 18-session studio, and an open-source contribution track) around its core game Threadbare, builds a global community of creators and mentors, and partners with schools and organizations to expand laptop ownership and remove barriers to digital creation.

📋 Description

• Own the technical direction and day-to-day engineering operations of the platform. • Drive architecture decisions, set code standards, and participate actively in engineering. • Lead the team's engineering practices, from code review and QA to monitoring and AI tools. • Run the team's agile processes - standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, issue triage. • Serve as the primary point of contact between engineers and the rest of the organization. • Work closely with Product to establish roadmap priorities, validate work in progress against product intentions, and help translate product requirements into actionable engineering work.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years software development experience • 2+ years engineering team management experience • 1+ years experience using AI technologies in professional context • Expertise in web development (Javascript/Typescript), working across frontend, backend and databases. • Strong engineering team management experience. • Product collaboration skills. • Meticulous communication and organisational skills. • Agility & adaptability.
