📋 Description

• Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Mid/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team. • Responsibilities include preparing error-free engineering documents, maintaining knowledge of industry codes and standards, and producing high-quality engineering deliverables. • The group provides engineering services (HVAC, hydraulic, piping system designs) for DOE facilities. • Work involves designing mechanical systems in support of nuclear stockpile, environmental cleanup, storage of radiological waste, and the development of next generation nuclear power.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university • Minimum 10 years of experience with design of mechanical systems for mid level engineer • Experience working on DOE federal projects • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of mechanical calculations • Proficient in Word and Excel • Good writing, presentation and communication skills • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks if needed • Thermal-hydraulic and design modification experienced desired • Relevant energy system design experience (e.g., HVAC, Hydraulic, Piping) preferred • Professional Engineering license required • Software experience (AFT FATHOM / ARROW / IMPULSE, AutoPipe, HVAC Heat Load / Air Flow) preferred • Must be a U.S. Citizen
