📋 Description

• Coordinate physician communications, ensuring clear and effective information exchange between the PRC Coding team and physicians. • Answer telephone and email questions for their specialty, including coding escalations within their specialty. • Provide education and training to physicians and coders on specialty-specific coding guidelines and best practices. • Serve as the primary contact for the specialty, addressing inquiries and providing expert guidance on coding-related matters. • Conduct coder communications reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding standards and workflows aligning with our standard operating models. • Perform root cause analysis to identify coding trends and opportunities for improvement for the specialty. • Support and lead coding opportunity improvement projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. • Execute special coding projects as assigned by leadership, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Perform production coding as needed to maintain KPI.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of medical coding experience, with focus on physician coding • Strong knowledge of specialty-specific coding guidelines and regulations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Proven ability to analyze coding trends and implement improvement initiatives • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills • Experience working in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate project timelines and physician schedules • Position may require 20-40% travel to client sites • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI
