📋 Description

• Oversee development of protection and control engineering packages for substation projects • Provide expert guidance on relay protection schemes, SCADA, automation, and communication system design • Approve and stamp engineering deliverables as needed • Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, IEC, and utility‑specific standards • Lead technical reviews, QA/QC processes, and design optimization initiatives • Coordinate with civil, structural, and physical engineering teams to ensure integrated design • Support project managers with technical input, risk identification, and mitigation strategies • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of P&C engineers, designers, and technicians • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key utility and industrial clients • Contribute to annual business planning, revenue forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Power emphasis preferred) • 10+ years of experience in protection & controls engineering • Strong understanding of transmission and substation protection schemes, relay logic, and control systems • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and complex projects • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months • Proficiency with industry tools (e.g., SEL AcSELerator, ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, AutoCAD, MicroStation)
