• Drive the adoption of Wero among Dutch merchants • Influence the development of new acceptance verticals • Act as the primary point of contact for merchants through onboarding and activation • Ensure merchants follow the required onboarding steps • Act as the operational liaison between merchants, acquirers and EPI teams • Guide merchants through Wero implementation • Participate in key industry events, associations and forums to increase awareness and adoption • Monitor market dynamics and competitive offerings • Translate merchant feedback into actionable insights for internal teams • Maintain an updated pipeline and activity tracking
• 6+ years of experience in payments, business development or related domains • Strong knowledge of the Dutch payment ecosystem • Experience in payment business development or payment strategy • Background in project and/or product management • Proven ability to drive merchants or partners through onboarding and activation processes • Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders across merchants, partners and internal teams • Fluency in both Dutch and English is required (written and spoken) • Comfortable operating in a remote-first, multicultural and fast-evolving environment • Shares our values: curiosity, resilience, optimism, autonomy and initiative • Strong sense of ownership, structure and prioritization • Experience working with acquirers, large merchants or public acceptance players (nice-to-have) • Knowledge of Dutch public acceptance sectors (transport, utilities, mobility, public services) (nice-to-have) • Exposure to product lifecycle phases or merchant integration projects (nice-to-have) • Experience collaborating with industry bodies, merchant associations or institutional groups (nice-to-have) • Public-speaking experience (moderating panels, hosting sessions, presenting to senior audiences) (nice-to-have) • French proficiency is a plus (nice-to-have)
