• You analyze our merchants' requirements together with Product & Dev and translate them into meaningful, clear UX flows • You design onboarding journeys for our existing Shopify apps so they are understandable, motivating, and low-friction • You independently identify UX issues in existing flows and develop solutions that genuinely help our users • You develop user flows, wireframes, and sketches to map the customer journey • You create prototypes — from simple click dummies to detailed mockups in Figma • You consider scalability and maintainability so designs are not only attractive but also sensible in the long term • You design, plan, and conduct usability tests to validate hypotheses and refine your designs • You analyze qualitative and quantitative insights and derive clear recommendations for action • You identify design gaps based on user feedback and independently propose optimizations • You work closely with our Product team: they define the what, you design the how • You coordinate with our developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and work in reality as well as in Figma • You actively contribute to our processes and help strengthen the UX perspective within the apps team
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role as a UX designer, ideally with a strong focus on UX research • Confident handling of user flows, wireframes, and prototypes (ideally with Figma) • Experience in user research & usability testing — from preparation and execution to analysis • After a solid onboarding, you can independently lead design projects from the initial idea to final implementation — in close coordination with Product & Dev • You excel at cross-functional collaboration and feel comfortable working with product owners and developers • You communicate clearly, actively seek feedback, and share your insights with the team in a structured way • You speak and write good German (at least B2 level)
• A setup that fits your life — remote possible and flexible working hours within the agreed framework • An environment where UX & Research are truly valued and not just “nice to have” • Collaboration with an experienced apps and product team eager to take onboarding experiences to the next level with you • The opportunity to have visible impact: your flows and research results directly affect thousands of merchants • An open, appreciative culture where feedback is normal, humor is welcome, and everyone is encouraged to take responsibility • For permanent positions: benefits such as bike-leasing (e.g., JobRad) and commuter ticket, capital-forming payments, company pension plan, Urban Sports membership, a mental health platform, and more!
