📋 Description

• You provide architectural and technical leadership by driving scalable architectures and long-term technical improvements across teams • You support engineers hands-on in designing and implementing high-quality services, distributed systems, and data pipelines • You collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and other Staff Engineers to align on architectural decisions and technical direction • You evaluate and integrate AI technologies where they strengthen systems, processes, or product capabilities with measurable impact • You enable responsible AI adoption by defining best practices, guidelines, and reusable patterns across engineering • You mentor engineers and drive cross-team alignment while reducing complexity and improving engineering-wide consistency

🎯 Requirements

• You already work as a Staff Engineer and have impact on department level, not only within your team • You have extensive experience in modern software engineering and distributed systems • You bring strong architectural thinking and can align teams and stakeholders on technical decisions • You have deep experience with event-driven systems, microservices, and AWS-based architectures • You are familiar with data warehouse concepts, data modeling, data governance, data pipelines, and data quality frameworks • You have a solid understanding of AI concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, vector search, agents, and automation patterns • You have experience integrating AI capabilities into existing systems or workflows and assessing feasibility, risk, and impact • You communicate fluently in English; German is a plus
