• Support the fieldwork of Euromonitor International’s market research projects in Botswana. • Engage regularly on short-term ad-hoc projects of approximately 6–8 weeks when a suitable project is available. • Conduct interviews with key players along the value chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, associations, and government. • Research contacts and network to establish industry links. • Review and collect information from secondary sources. • Visit retail stores to gather product information and speak to staff. • Analyze quantitative information in MS Excel and qualitative information. • Perform hypothesis testing. • Generate MS Word and PowerPoint reports in English. • Work remotely with support from a project manager in one of Euromonitor’s EMEAI offices. • Gather information through in-depth conversations with key industry decision makers to uncover data and insights.
• Professional with a business background. • Tenacity in the pursuit of information and a keen attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and a willingness to find strong industry contacts. • High level of numeracy - Ability to work with, analyse, and interpret data. • Fluency in English and the local language. • Previous experience working on a short-term contract basis or in a freelance capacity. • Excellent time-management, organization and self-motivation skills. • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). • Availability of minimum 30 hours per week when actively engaged on a project. • Applications must be submitted in English. • Current CV and covering letter required.
