📋 Description

• Own legal and compliance-related workflows and projects within the Compliance Team • Own compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms • Prepare contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including GDPR DPAs and TIAs • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation covering data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and similar laws • Maintain EverAI’s AI systems inventory in line with EU guidance • Conduct risk assessments under applicable safety laws • Review products and features for consumer rights and data protection compliance • Handle day-to-day standard IP issues, including DMCA notices and copycats • Review contracts such as NDAs and licenses • Update legal terms, including Terms of Service, Privacy Notices, and content policies • Track, research, and analyze relevant legal developments and regulatory guidance • Meet regularly with the Legal & Safety Lead to clarify questions, co-develop recommendations, and share insights • Review and discuss uncensored AI-generated content, including NSFW material, as part of platform learning and testing

🎯 Requirements

• Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, recognized legal certification) • 2–6 years of experience as legal counsel or in similar positions • At least 2 years of experience working with contracts generally and data protection law specifically • Knowledge of Data Protection Agreements and Transfer Impact Assessments, with experience preparing them • Experience contacting vendors about contract-related issues • Experience applying, or interest in learning, the legal landscape applicable to B2C companies • Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English • Professional experience or interest in AI • Strong communication and collaborative skills • Perfect fluency in English • Goal-oriented, ownership, and commitment • Doer mindset, balancing execution, planning, and strategy • Humility, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback • Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated and NSFW content • Full attorney/legal counsel certification is a bonus • Previous experience in explosive-growth startups, BTC, and/or AI compliance is a bonus • Fluency in additional languages is a bonus • Ability to work with at least 4 hours of daily overlap with CET is non-negotiable • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of residence • Willingness and ability to work under a B2B contract arrangement in the country of residence
