📋 Description

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP applications • Translate business requirements into entities, relationships, attributes, and business rules • Design ER models, tables, primary keys, foreign keys, constraints, and indexes • Apply normalization and 3NF principles to relational database design • Work with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Architects, and Developers to support application requirements • Review and improve existing database structures for data integrity, scalability, maintainability, and performance • Support database enhancements and new application features • Apply knowledge of transactional processing, relationships, concurrency, and referential integrity • Document database designs, assumptions, dependencies, and business rules • Use AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot to improve SQL development, documentation, troubleshooting, and productivity

🎯 Requirements

• 8–10 years of overall experience in Database Development • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Modeling / Database Design • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL • Strong understanding of OLTP and transactional databases • Experience with logical and physical data modeling • Strong knowledge of ER Modeling, Normalization / 3NF, Primary & Foreign Keys, Cardinality, Referential Integrity, Constraints, and Indexes • Experience designing databases for enterprise or commercial applications • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective database designs • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Azure SQL or AWS RDS experience is nice to have • Database performance tuning experience is nice to have • Transaction and concurrency concepts experience is nice to have • Audit/history data design experience is nice to have • Healthcare, Pharma, or Life Sciences experience is nice to have • Exposure to application development/API integration is nice to have • Experience using AI tools for engineering productivity is nice to have
