📋 Description
• Conduct comprehensive audits of MECM/SCCM infrastructure; identify/document gaps, misconfigurations, inefficiencies and recommend/implement remediation per Microsoft and GC IT standards. • Validate system health (site roles, boundaries, collections, deployments) and provide technical support for server-side (site server, SQL, distribution points) and workstation-side components (client health, deployments, compliance). • Assist with day-to-day MECM operations, troubleshooting, performance tuning, task sequences, OS and software packages, reporting, LDAP queries and PowerShell scripting. • Conduct comprehensive audits of Intune/endpoint management landscape; identify gaps and recommend/implement remediation per Intune best practices and GC IT standards. • Validate Intune readiness, plan integration strategies with MECM/SCCM or transitions to cloud-native management; support Intune configuration policies, compliance, application deployment and device enrollment scenarios. • Support day-to-day Intune operations, troubleshooting, performance tuning, reporting/dashboarding (MEM admin center, Log Analytics) and Graph API/PowerShell automation. • Install/configure PatchMyPC in MECM; integrate catalogs, set up third-party publishing, design automated patching routines, deployment rules, schedules, compliance reporting and test workflows. • Assist deployment, configuration and maintenance of Windows 11; ensure compatibility with MECM and PatchMyPC; support PSC-specific configurations, policies and security baselines. • Create/support Active Directory objects, attributes and Group Policy Objects; provide strategic guidance, recommendations to improve packaging/update processes and deliver technical documentation and training.
🎯 Requirements
• Within the last fifteen (15) years, Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator. • Within the last ten (10) years, Must have a minimum of five (5) years managing MECM/SCCM environments for both server-side and workstation-side components. • Proven experience auditing and remediating MECM/SCCM environments • Ability to validate system health (site roles, boundaries, collections, deployments) • Experience with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and day-to-day MECM operations • Experience with task sequences, OS/software deployment, and reporting in SCCM • Proficiency in creating and supporting LDAP queries and PowerShell scripts • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including assessments, configuration policies, compliance, application deployment, and device enrollment (Windows Autopilot, Apple DEP, Android Enterprise) • Experience designing and executing Intune integration strategies with MECM/SCCM or cloud-native transitions • Experience with Patch My PC: install/configure, integrate with MECM, automate patching, configure deployment rules and validation • In-depth knowledge of Windows 11 deployment, configuration, maintenance in enterprise Active Directory environments • Experience creating and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Active Directory objects/attributes • Ability to deliver hands-on training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal IT staff • Experience developing change/process materials, risk/action/resolution items • Demonstrated experience aligning Windows/AD/MECM/Intune environments to Government of Canada security requirements and baselines
