📋 Description

• Own the technical strategy and execution for migrating the Search and Catalog domains from a legacy monolith to a modern, event-driven, service-oriented architecture • Architect systems that match high-value, high-stakes orders with reliable suppliers across variable geographies • Partner with Product to optimize core user journey for improved latency and relevant results • Oversee the menu data modernization initiative by building ingestion pipelines and tools for complex menus at scale • Lead the integration of search and LLM-driven recommendations for a conversational discovery experience • Manage and mentor a team of Engineers fostering technical excellence and customer focus.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering leadership experience, with a specific track record in Search, Discovery, or Catalog systems at scale (eCommerce or Marketplace experience is highly preferred) • Led migrations from monoliths to microservices/SOA • Understand the trade-offs of modern search technologies and data architectures • Product mindset; understand how latency, relevance, and UI performance directly impact business metrics • Comfortable using data to make decisions • Understand how to measure search quality and run rigorous A/B tests to validate improvements • Change agent; able to rally a team through complex re-platforming while delivering incremental value • High bar for code quality and operational maturity.
