📋 Description
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger including additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments • Monitor and review construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and timely capitalization • Calculate and post monthly depreciation and reconcile with the general ledger • Ensure proper classification of capital assets • Prepare fixed asset roll-forwards and related disclosures for internal and external reporting • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, AP, and Project teams to track assets and ensure compliance with capitalization policies • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations • Analyze asset-related transactions and provide variance explanations • Support audits by providing detailed schedules and documentation related to fixed assets • Recommend process improvements and implement best practices for fixed asset tracking and reporting
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 4–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on fixed assets • Knowledge of MX/ US GAAP and fixed asset accounting • Experience with ERP systems (WD preferred but not required) • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis • Bilingual - English and Spanish required • Contador Público Certificado (CPC) a plus • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Effective communication and collaboration skills
