• Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up • Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs • Actively prospect, round accounts, and solicit increases in existing client coverage • Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage • Present policies to the insured and educate them on coverages and rates • Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention • Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, and provide expertise as needed • Maintain CE participation in ongoing education and keep informed regarding industry information
• Hold the insurance license required by your state • Minimum of two years of personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience • Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation • Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations • Proven track record of business-to-business sales success • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills • Ability to close sales • People-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive • Outstanding organizational skills • Ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision • Sound business judgment and strong decision-making skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent time management skills • Thrive in a team environment • Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems
