📋 Description

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. • Monitor key financial metrics such as food cost, labor cost, and gross profit margin. • Track and analyze operational costs, including food, beverage, labor, and overhead, to identify areas for improvement. • Implement cost-saving measures and financial controls to improve profitability. • Collaborate with kitchen and procurement teams to optimize food inventory levels and reduce waste. • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax filings. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax, health regulations, and labor laws. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards. • Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations. • Manage banking relationships, loans, and credit facilities. • Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements. • Implement and maintain restaurant inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and valuation of food and beverage items. • Work with the purchasing team to ensure that product pricing and vendor relationships align with financial goals. • Assist the restaurant owner/management team in developing long-term financial strategies. • Support decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations for menu pricing, expansions, and capital investments. • Prepare financial models for new business initiatives, renovations, or marketing campaigns. • Work closely with the operations and kitchen teams to align financial and operational goals. • Train restaurant staff on financial protocols, such as budgeting, invoice management, and cost control practices. • Ensure timely payroll processing and employee compensation accuracy.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry. • Strong knowledge of accounting software's and POS systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, food costing, and inventory management. • Familiarity with financial regulations and tax laws for the hospitality industry. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with restaurant management software (e.g., Toast, Square, Upserve). • Prior experience managing multiple restaurant locations or a chain of restaurants.
