Foundation Fighting Blindness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to funding and driving research into retinal degenerative diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Leber congenital amaurosis, Usher syndrome and related rare retinal conditions. The Foundation supports scientific research and clinical trials, awards grants to investigators and institutions, runs patient registries and genetic testing programs, and raises funds through community chapters and events like VisionWalk to accelerate development of preventions, treatments and cures. It also provides resources and support for people living with vision loss and partners with corporate donors and researchers to advance therapies.
