📋 Description
• Drive high availability and disaster recovery strategies for core banking systems • Define and execute scalability roadmap, including partitioning and capacity forecasting • Perform deep-dive query optimization and execution plan analysis • Build and manage scalable inference and connection pooling strategies • Design monitoring architecture for database health • Implement banking-grade security practices • Work with product teams for database schema changes • Set the technical bar for the DBA function through mentoring and hands-on implementation
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in high-load, production environments (preferably Fintech or mission-critical systems) • Advanced knowledge of index design (B-tree, GIN, GiST, BRIN), partitioning, and vacuum tuning • Proven experience designing streaming replication, clustering, and automated backup validation • Hands-on experience with cloud-managed PostgreSQL (specifically GCP) and Linux systems administration • Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab, ArgoCD) • Expertise in complex queries, stored procedures, and functions • Experience building monitoring and alerting for databases (Prometheus/Grafana) • Fluent in English
