📋 Description

• Assess and diagnose patient needs and presenting symptoms via phone or video • Review and confirm patient medical history, current medications, medical conditions, and allergies • Order labs, imaging, and/or refer to an in-person specialist when further care is necessary • Analyze lab/imaging results and clearly communicate any next steps to the patient via follow-up appointment • Prescribe medications if and when necessary; swap brand-name medications for lower-cost generics when clinically appropriate* • Assist patients in managing chronic concerns, and advise on lifestyle regimens such as proper nutrition, exercise and stress reduction • Maintain accurate patient records and encounter notes • Operate as part of a care team to ensure patients are cared for in a timely, efficient manner

🎯 Requirements

• Board certification in family or internal medicine • Active licenses to practice in at least 5-10 states preferred • Willing to become licensed in additional states on an as-needed basis • Bandwidth to commit at least 10 hours/week to First Stop Health • Passion for using technology to increase access to and affordability of care • Enjoy building trust and rapport with patients and maintaining those relationships over time
