📋 Description

• Build reliable and scalable product experiences for Flip’s AI-powered employee experience platform • Own backend systems and contribute across the full user journey • Work with APIs, data models, infrastructure, and product user experience • Join a product squad and collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and AI • Understand user problems and help shape product decisions • Rapidly prototype and validate ideas • Use AI to bridge gaps across frontend, mobile, and infrastructure work • Ship small, well-structured changes outside the backend stack when needed • Carry features through rollout and observe their impact • Conduct instrumentation, user conversations, or collaboration with Product Management and Customer Success as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working on SaaS products in Agile environments • Hands-on experience with Kotlin or Java • Experience with a web framework such as Micronaut or Spring • Strong backend specialization and solid technical foundation • Willingness to work across the full stack, including web or mobile when needed • Experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot, or willingness to adopt them • Strong engineering judgment, curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn • Fluent English at C1 level • Legally authorized to work in the European Union or the United Kingdom without visa sponsorship • Willingness to own features through rollout and observe their impact • Nice to have: experience pairing with designers or working from mockups/prototypes • Nice to have: instrumentation and experimentation experience, including A/B testing, Grafana, or Mixpanel • Nice to have: Kubernetes and Helm deployment experience • Nice to have: PostgreSQL experience • Nice to have: messaging systems experience with RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka
