• Study the fundamental mechanisms governing steam condensation in low-pressure chambers used for sterilization of heat-sensitive medical instruments • Study the impact of steam condensation on the materials constituting these instruments • Work on a one-year project at the ITODYS laboratory, Université Paris Cité • Collaborate at the interface between fundamental research and industrial innovation
• PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, or a related field • Alternatively, an engineering degree or a five-year university degree in the same fields • Experience in one or more of: experimental fluid mechanics; phase-change phenomena (condensation, evaporation); heat and mass transfer; interfacial phenomena and wetting; instrumentation and experimental design • Experience with optical diagnostics, vacuum systems, or environmental chambers would be an advantage
• One-year fixed-term contract • Opportunity to work at the interface between fundamental research and industrial innovation • Collaboration funded by Advanced Sterilization Products, a global leader in sterilization technologies for medical instruments
