đź“‹ Description

• Teaching online asynchronous, online synchronous, and hybrid courses as assigned. • Preparing of syllabus and teaching of curriculum according to the goals and objectives of the seminary. • Building and maintaining the online course shells in Canvas for student accessibility. • Providing a learning environment that supports student success. • Maintaining virtual office hours for each class and mentoring and guiding students beyond the classroom. • Ensuring timely management and responding to electronic correspondence from students, administrators, and other school officials. • Leading forum discussions and engaging students in relevant discussion and coursework. • Partnering with Program Chairs and Academic Advisors to address student concerns. • Maintaining and submitting accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress. • Delivering final grades in accordance with the academic calendar. • Enforcing student conduct policies as outlined in the student handbook. • Remaining current with trends, techniques, and advances in distance learning and theological education. • Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position. • Additional duties as may be assigned by the school.

🎯 Requirements

• Terminal degree of theological nature from an accredited college or university (PhD of theological, missiological, or intercultural nature; DMin; DMiss; DGL; DIS; or DEd Min) or equivalent professional experience • Able to work cooperatively within the seminary community • Sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, gender and denominational differences • Experience with online and/or hybrid mode teaching • Affiliate faculty will not exceed 40 hours of work in one week or 8 hours of work in one day • Must provide a personal laptop for work
