📋 Description

• coordinate responses to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) • compile responses to each request and submit to the FOIA office • examine and evaluate requests for information under FOIA • draft replies to routine and complex requests for information • compile statistical data for release • coordinate with internal and external offices and programs to collect information for release • compile responsive information from custodians • use an electronic tracking system to track, manage, and complete FOIA assignments • maintain case files • recognize priorities and independently organize work to meet established deadlines • establish internal procedures to ensure adequate control of deadlines and progress reports • maintain and develop knowledge of supported government programs and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience • direct FOIA experience a plus • bachelor's degree in related discipline • strong verbal and written communication skills • strong analytical and research skills • excellent organization skills • experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Excel • experience working with immigrant or refugee populations and anti-trafficking programs preferred • US Citizenship Required: No
