• Provide direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives. • Pre-commission, commission, and service static frequency converters (SFC) and variable frequency (VFD) low voltage and medium voltage drives/switchgear/transformers and power systems. • Provide technical assistance and supervision to customers on the installations. • Conduct on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction. • Provide management with complete and prompt information and report regarding safety & project/service status, customer or equipment problems, and failures. • Provide technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment. • Provide and assist quality team with root cause analysis and generate reports in case of equipment malfunction or failures to identify/analyse any undesirable trends. • Complete site documentations such as weekly safety update, installations check lists, pre-commissioning, and commissioning procedures. • Hands-on on-site parts replacement, testing, and verification of electrical equipment. • Adhere with company Health and Safety policies and work in safe and best practice manner to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and equipment are not compromised.
• Electrical engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university or college • Solid understanding of Power Electronics, Electric Circuit, Electric Power Systems, Medium Voltage, Harmonics, with good hands-on skill. • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. • Good literacy in at least one computer programming language. • Hands-on experience and knowledge of test instruments (recorders, power analysers, oscilloscopes, Insulation resistance, HI pot etc.) • Comfortable to sail on marine vessels if needed and remain offshore for defined number of days. • Willing to travel including distant in-country or aboard limited duration visits and with short notice in advance • Good understanding of Health and Safety, and risks / Hazards involved.
