📋 Description
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for insulation, firestopping, and fireproofing projects. • Review construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to ensure complete project scope. • Estimate residential, commercial, tenant improvement (TI), remodel, and ground-up construction projects. • Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates. • Utilize estimating and digital takeoff software such as BAS-SPEED, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar platforms. • Identify scope gaps, risks, and opportunities for value engineering. • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure estimated accuracy and timely bid submissions. • Maintain organized estimating documentation and project files. • Manage multiple bids while consistently meeting deadlines.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • 3–6+ years of experience estimating U.S.-based construction projects. • Proven estimating experience in insulation projects is highly preferred. • Experience with firestopping and/or fireproofing scopes is strongly preferred. • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. • Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Strong verbal and written English communication skills. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
