📋 Description
• Prepare accurate plumbing estimates and quantity takeoffs for commercial and industrial construction projects • Review architectural, plumbing, and mechanical drawings, specifications, and bid documents • Develop complete bid packages and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing • Prepare and manage change orders, estimate revisions, and RFI responses • Analyze project scope and identify discrepancies or missing information requiring clarification • Coordinate estimates for mixed-use developments including residential, hospitality, retail, warehouse, and industrial spaces • Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, plumbing codes, ADA requirements, and client standards • Assist with project submittals and estimating documentation as needed • Collaborate with the senior estimator and owner on complex bids and pricing strategies • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting strict bid deadlines
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience • Experience with New Jersey, New York, or Northeast U.S. plumbing codes • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent plumbing trade qualification preferred • Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or multi-family construction projects • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and construction methods • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Comfortable working full-time during US Eastern Time business hours. • Required Software & Technical Skills: PlanSwift (preferred), Procore, Microsoft Excel, PDF markup and construction drawing review tools, Experience with digital takeoff and estimating software
