• Calculate clearances and thrust for combined cycle steam turbines • Perform the differential expansion, radial and axial clearance calculation and checks for NPI, new units, and service upgrade projects • Perform and check the axial thrust calculation for NPI, new units and service upgrade projects • Be the technical leader for all items related to clearances and thrust for the entire GPT Steam Turbine team • Support shop and site crew for any issue/analysis related to clearances, thrust and component alignment • Maintain and update related design practices and documentation • Support automation plan if/as required • Support proposals and what-if scenario studies • Drive a collaborative mindset and a commitment culture • Train other team members
• Significant experience in Engineering, Technology, and Systems Engineering • Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a high school diploma with relevant experience • Proven engineering experience in Steam Turbine design and/or operability • Familiarity with Steam Turbine component design/operability design process, tools, and procedures • Proficiency in English. • Master’s degree in engineering discipline or Edison Engineering program completion (desired) • Basic technical understanding of Steam Turbine, Gas Turbine or other turbomachinery products (desired) • Strong analytical skills working independently and in a team environment (desired)
