📋 Description

• Design, implement, and verify HVDC Control and Protection systems • EMT modelling of HVDC systems and renewable systems in PSCAD • Convert or model AC network equivalents in RSCAD and validate control systems • Analyze and improve the performance of HVDC Control and Protection systems • Support tendering, operations, contractual, and after-sales activities • Participate in engineering design reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent (including power systems and power electronics), or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in the HVDC business • Demonstrated experience in HVDC control and protection system design, implementation, and verification (not just validation or commissioning) • Strong understanding of functional characteristics and interactions between AC and HVDC systems • Knowledge of HVDC control, protection, and sequencing strategies • Hands-on proficiency with PSCAD and RSCAD simulation tools • Experience with system modelling and analysis • Excellent communication and client engagement skills • Strong written and verbal communication in English • Experience creating and presenting technical reports • Ability to respond to client questions and participate in technical discussions • Ability to work to deadlines under pressure while maintaining safety, quality, and engineering integrity • Flexible with working hours and willing to travel globally to support projects.
