📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and lead the global commodity strategy for Logistics, including packing and customs duties management, across GE Power Conversion & Storage • Coordinate with regional Sourcing & Logistics teams to execute cohesive global strategies, sourcing efforts, and policies • Partner with PCS sites to develop and execute global sourcing strategies for inbound and outbound logistics, packing, and customs • Leverage GE Electrification and other GE Vernova businesses • Develop technical and market expertise • Lead supplier diversity, sustainability, supplier evaluation, selection, development, and management • Drive sourcing initiatives involving shared supplier spend, best-cost country, productivity, supply-base rationalization, sole-source reduction, cycle reduction, on-time delivery, quality improvements, lean and pull production, and cash-flow improvement • Manage supplier contracts and supply agreements • Address business compliance requirements, customs duties optimization, and compliance-risk remediation • Deliver improvements in quality performance, fulfillment, and cost metrics • Develop Logistics tools and systems with regional teams and GE Vernova • Optimize technical packing requirements across commodities and products • Propose optimized supply chains for complex projects and repetitive product flows while complying with country tax and customs regulations • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, factory and supplier packing, and customs duties alignment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics operations or Sourcing – Logistics & packing • 8–10 years’ experience in Logistics operations & sourcing • Experience in leadership roles within a complex, global matrixed, multi-site organization • Experience driving logistics for complex and multi-year delivery projects • Broad competence in sourcing analyses and logistics operations • Very strong negotiation skills • Ability to define a strategy • Basic knowledge of supplier audit and performance evaluation • Fluency in English • Figures management; able to use databases • Good understanding of international business and sourcing • Good knowledge of the company’s operations and local marketplace • Ability to travel frequently and visit PCS regional teams and suppliers • Shortlisted candidates subject to heightened security checks due to client critical infrastructure
