📋 Description

• Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer site locations during ship construction. • Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implement corrective actions. • Develop documentation to execute work such as commissioning and maintenance procedures, as well as execute customer training. • Execute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction. • Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training, and upgrades. • Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service. • Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements. • Perform work on-board vessels within GE / Customer safety guidelines either in shipyards or offshore. • Extended hours / overtime may be required during peak periods and emergency circumstances. • Domestic or overseas travel to customer sites for extended periods of time.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university. • Associate's Degree or related discipline with a minimum 5 additional years of related industry experience. • School diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience. • Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time​ on short notice. • Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore. • Previous Marine Industry Experience. • Ability to execute increasingly complicated assignments, which require considerable engineering skill and creative ability and independent judgment.
