📋 Description

• Lead project management for a portion of GE Vernova’s remedial project portfolio • Manage investigation and remediation through external consultant management and internal stakeholder coordination • Coordinate remedial project execution from initial risk review and planning through final completion • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and budget constraints • Manage technical delivery, schedules, finances, reporting, stakeholder liaison, and project-team coordination • Provide technical support for environmental risk activities involving mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and restructuring • Coordinate with Environmental & Properties Risk, real estate, sourcing, special projects, strategy, finance, legal, EHS, governmental affairs, communications, operations, and facilities teams • Provide strategic oversight, direction, progress updates, and financial updates to management

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in environmental science, geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, or equivalent discipline • Solid proven applied experience in project management within environmental, remediation, environmental transactions and/or EHS • Experience managing complex remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and soil vapor issues, including PCBs, hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents; and/or experience providing environmental transactional support for real estate and/or M&A transactions • Expert familiarity with ASTM standards and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments • Experience preparing or using Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to assess risks • Experience coordinating environmental due diligence for multiple, simultaneous, large, and/or complex transactions • Understanding of legal requirements, regulatory environment, environmental risk, reputational considerations, and local issues • Ability to provide strategic oversight, direction, communication, planning, progress, and financial updates to management • Ability to manage and coordinate consultant teams to generate cost estimates, scopes of work, proposals, and reports • Experience preparing financial estimations and planning for long-term projects • Familiarity with environmental issues related to historical and current manufacturing and energy operations • Strong attention to detail • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Demonstrated collaboration skills within diverse teams • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly • Demonstrated success coordinating technical, financial, reputational, and legal considerations for complex projects • Strong technical and analytical aptitude • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information • Experience working cross-culturally in large, matrixed organizations • Ability and willingness to travel internationally approximately 30% • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • English proficiency and business fluency in Spanish or Portuguese • Graduate degree, highly collaborative approach, creative problem-solving, multitasking, additional language familiarity, and LEAN familiarity are listed as qualifications that will make the candidate stand out
