📋 Description

• Work within small hands-on work groups during on-site execution of MCU/UTR work • Execute Main Component Upgrade work as directed by the MCU Lead, involving major crane operations • Inspect major parts for damage and correct turbine configuration • Check and validate inventory, tooling, parts, and other items required for MCU operations • Interpret GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, and work instructions • Complete documentation and collect data for MCU/UTR execution reports • Perform work according to JSA, LOTO, EHS, and associated policies and procedures • Report errors, violations, incidents, and problems using GE reporting systems • Submit engineering enquiries and answer questions from management, engineering, sourcing, and project teams • Make conformance or non-conformance decisions after inspections and report findings • Participate in weekend and night work when required • Perform high-voltage switching operations according to site procedures • Complete required EHS training and cooperate with investigations and audits

🎯 Requirements

• Trade qualified Mechanical tradesperson with electrical aptitude • Proficient in fault finding electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment • Experience in wind farm operations and maintenance, installation, and heavy-lift main-component exchange • Intermediate computer skills • Must be eligible to work in Australia at the date of application as an Australian permanent resident, Australian citizen, or New Zealand citizen • Ability and willingness to travel nationally or internationally for work and training • Ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Wind farm industry experience highly desirable • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently • GWO/GWO ART qualification • Dogging, rigging, and Franna tickets • Willingness to work across different time zones and respond to contacts outside normal working hours when expected
