• Conduct health policy research and analysis on topics relevant to global health and development and draft summary/position papers/policy briefs • Monitor and track policy developments and team activities • Analyze state and federal legislation related to global health, development, health workers, and other health issues of concern to communities in low-resourced settings • Attend meetings and events, take detailed notes, and report back • Research, draft, edit, and format public-facing content and materials, such as talking points, briefs, and reports • Other duties and tasks as assigned
• Graduate student preferred • Excellent written, oral, multitasking and interpersonal communications skills (writing sample required) • Knowledge of, or interest in, global health or foreign policy • Knowledge of internet research sources, including media search engines • Familiarity with the federal legislative process • Proficient in Microsoft Word (including creating graphs, charts, and tables), Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to multitask, and prioritize various tasks in a fast-paced work environment • Facility with social media • Ability to work productively in a team environment as well as under minimal supervision, taking the initiative to ask questions as needed • Academic and/or legal research and analysis skills are a plus • Graphic design skills and experience creating visual materials are a plus
